The Bruins have one of the strongest youth movements in the West Valley League, something that could help the team down the stretch after the youngsters get settled into playing big-time roles.
“We had a very talented group of Freshmen and Sophomores try-out for the team this year, and thus, for the first time ever, we had to cut some Seniors to make way for the incoming underclassmen,” head coach Brittney Paulsen Eich said.

The Los Altos field hockey team looks promising this year, according to head coach Mary Donahue.
“We are in a very tough Mt Hamilton division of BVAL, but we have a solid core of juniors and seniors and quite a few players who played club in the off-season and improved their skills,” Donahue said.
